To build the best LED billboard light fixture you need to put it through the toughest test.

For over two decades Holophane has incorporated a white checkerboard as a critical benchmark when measuring quality of light through the customers' eyes.

This simple, but effective process allows us to analyze the overall quality of light on the board. Is it even across the entire copy and does the light make a smooth transition as it moves away from the source? Are there any sharp contrast areas that will show up as shadowing or hot spots? The checkerboard shows all design flaws as the eye can easily focus on any differences between two or three squares.
